Coleen Volk

Coleen Volk currently serves as the President and CEO of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) since June 2024. Prior to this role, Volk was a Board Member at Blueprint from November 2023 to September 2024 and has held various significant positions in the Government of Alberta, including Associate Deputy Minister Executive Council and Deputy Minister Intergovernmental Relations from May 2016 to May 2022, as well as Deputy Minister of Energy. Additional experience includes serving as Associate Deputy Minister at Environment and Climate Change Canada in 2016, Deputy Secretary for Senior Personnel at the Privy Council Office from April 2013 to April 2016, and Assistant Deputy Minister at Environment Canada from January 2011 to April 2013. Other notable positions include Executive Director Administrative Services Review at the Privy Council Office, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister at Industry Canada, and Assistant Superintendent at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada. Coleen Volk holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a major in Computer Science from the University of Regina, earned between 1982 and 1986.
