Cassandra Marion is a Science Advisor at Ingenium, focusing on promoting scientific and technological literacy in Canada, particularly in aviation and space. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Scientist at Western University, where geological research and the Impact Earth Database were key responsibilities. As the CanMoon Mission Operations Manager, Cassandra coordinated mission operations for a Canadian lunar sample return analogue project. Additional roles at Western University involved teaching assistance and project management for Canadian Space Agency-funded initiatives. Earlier in the career, as a Science Technician at the CREAIT Network Microanalysis Facility, expertise in electron backscatter diffraction was utilized. Cassandra holds a Ph.D. in Geology/Planetary Science and Exploration from Western University, a Master’s Degree in Earth Sciences from Memorial University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Ottawa.
