Sonya von Heyking Cpa

Sonya von Heyking, CPA, CA, CIA, ICD.D, currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Strategic Initiatives and Instructor in Accounting at the Dhillon School of Business, University of Lethbridge, while also holding roles as Director of Accounting Program Development and CPA Bridging. Sonya members the boards of CanadaHelps as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee, and Legal Aid Alberta, as well as serving on the CPA Alberta Board, representing over 30,000 CPAs in Alberta. Additional involvement includes serving as a Public Member on the Audit Committee for Holy Spirit School Division and previously, as a Director and Treasurer for the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta. Sonya's professional background encompasses roles such as Director of Internal Audit at the University of Lethbridge and Senior Accountant at KPMG LLP. Academic qualifications include a B. Mgmt with Great Distinction in Advanced Accounting from the University of Lethbridge and various designations in corporate governance and auditing.
