Blaine Shewchuk

Blaine Shewchuk currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Individual Wealth at Canada Life, a position held since February 2024. Additionally, Blaine has been the President and CEO of Investment Planning Counsel since July 2021. Previously, Blaine worked at IGM Financial Inc. from January 2007 to February 2024, holding multiple roles including Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning & Development, and Vice President of Planning & Forecasting. Blaine is a CFA Charterholder from the CFA Institute and a CPA, CMA from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.
