James McKay

James McKay currently serves as the SVP and Head of Wealth Platforms at Canada Life, a role held since September 2020, which also includes overseeing Wealth Distribution and Advisor Compliance. Prior to Canada Life, McKay had an extensive tenure at Sun Life from July 2010 to September 2020, where roles included VP of Distribution, leading a national organization of 13 RVPs and 300 Managers, and VP of Distribution Solutions, focusing on advisor productivity through digital capabilities. Additionally, McKay held positions in Finance and Market Development, contributing to significant growth and innovation initiatives. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company, where McKay specialized in financial services strategy and distribution transformation. McKay holds an MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University.
