Senior Project Manager at Canada's Drug Agency

Sarah McDonald has a diverse work experience in project management and program support. Sarah worked at CADTH as a Senior Project Manager, where they were responsible for developing and implementing project plans, tracking schedules, and conducting risk assessments. Sarah also worked as a Program Operations Officer, providing support for COMPUS projects and directorate operations. In this role, they developed and monitored project work plans, as well as played a lead role in business planning and budget planning for COMPUS. Prior to their role at CADTH, Sarah worked at the Canadian Space Agency as a Contractor. In this position, they managed scholarship programs and coordinated events logistics, including budgeting, communications planning, and contract administration. Sarah also developed web pages and promotional materials for national and international scientific workshops and symposia. Additionally, Sarah served as a Program Officer, where they developed and implemented web pages for Space Life Science projects and created an online data archive for CSA-funded research.

Sarah McDonald's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Education in the Intermediate/Senior division with a focus on biology from the University of Ottawa. In addition to their degrees, they also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2009.
