Alexis Takyi

Alexis T. is an accomplished individual currently serving as the Administrative Director for the University of Waterloo African Students' Association and the Vice President of External Affairs for the University of Waterloo Women in STEM, where responsibilities include leading discussions and interacting with external partners. Previously, Alexis has held roles such as Marketing Coordinator for Women in STEM, Marketing Team Lead for the Girls SySTEM Mentorship Program, and Research Laboratory Assistant at Tessonics Inc., where work involved evaluating ultrasound technology and coding. Additional experience includes positions in public relations, sales, and library services. Alexis is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Waterloo, with a strong educational background that includes a Summer Mentorship Program in Health Sciences at the University of Toronto and secondary education at two Ontario institutions.
