Ruth Altman

Ruth Altman is an experienced professional with a robust background in regulatory consumer policy and advocacy. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at JVS Toronto and as a Director of Regulatory Consumer Policy at Rogers Communications since 2006, Ruth has consistently influenced external regulatory proceedings and guided compliance with consumer codes of conduct. Previous roles include Senior Manager and Manager in Regulatory positions at Rogers, where strategic regulatory submissions to the CRTC were prepared, and successful licensing amendments were secured at Corus Entertainment Inc. Additionally, Ruth has contributed to sector advancements through leadership roles at the Canadian Administrator of VRS, Inc., and experience in grant writing and program management at Pro Bono Law Ontario and the Canadian Film and Television Production Association. Ruth holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Carleton University.
