Dean Ah Sen

Dean Ah Sen, CPA, CA has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Dean began their career as an intern at Mauritius Union Assurance in 2011. Afterwards, they worked as a Peer Leader at the Living-Learning Community, University of Waterloo in 2012. In 2013, they held the position of Staff Accountant at EY while also working as a Special Project Assistant at the School of Accounting and Finance, University of Waterloo. Dean later became a Senior Staff Accountant at EY from 2016 to 2018, focusing on the energy sector. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Manager of Assurance at EY. In 2019, Dean joined CAPREIT as a Financial Reporting Manager and was subsequently promoted to Senior Manager of Financial Reporting in 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Financial Reporting at CAPREIT. Throughout their career, Dean has also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo from 2014 to 2016.

Dean Ah Sen, CPA, CA has a Master of Accounting (MAcc) from the University of Waterloo, obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management (BAFM) from the same university between 2011 and 2015, specializing in Accounting and Finance - Chartered Accountancy. Dean also holds a General Certificate of Education - Advanced Levels (Higher School Certificate) in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics from Collège du Saint Esprit, earned in 2009-2010. In addition, they obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) certification from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) in 2018.
