Richard Wong, P.Eng.

Richard Wong, P.Eng. has a diverse work experience in the oil and natural gas sector. Richard has worked at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) since 2016, starting as a Manager of Operations before being promoted to Director of Regulatory and Operations and then to Vice President of Regulatory and Operations. In these roles, they have led a team of professionals responsible for advancing policy and regulatory initiatives in various regions of Canada. Prior to their time at CAPP, Richard worked at Encana Corporation from 2009 to 2016, holding positions such as Senior Development Engineer, Operations Analyst, Reservoir Engineer, and Completions Engineer. During their secondment at CAPP, they provided operations technical support and collaborated with regulators and government to influence policy and regulatory reform.

Richard Wong, P.Eng. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University.
