Anita Howell is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and scientific research. Since June 2014, Anita has worked as a Project Portfolio Manager and Project Lead for the Centre for Innovation at Canadian Blood Services. Prior to this role, Anita was a Research Technologist at the University of Alberta and a Scientist specializing in Molecular Diagnostics at Aquila Diagnostic Systems from May 2012 to December 2014. Anita holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Alberta and another Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Psychology. Additionally, Anita has acquired certificates in Project Leadership, Project Management, and Quality Management from NAIT and the University of Manitoba.
