Ashley Gilbert, CFRE, has a diverse work experience in the field of philanthropy. Ashley started their career in 2010 as a Thesis Student at the University of Guelph. In 2013, they worked as a Development Intern at Ronald McDonald House Toronto, gaining valuable experience in fundraising. Later that year, they joined the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation, University Health Network, as a Development Associate for Major Gifts. In this role, they worked until December 2015, when they transitioned to the position of Principal Gift Manager, focusing on securing major donations. In 2018, Ashley joined Canadian Blood Services as the Strategic Lead for Philanthropy and National Partnerships, where they currently work.

Ashley Gilbert, CFRE obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Child, Youth, and Family studies from the University of Guelph in the years 2006 to 2010. In 2012 to 2013, Ashley pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Fundraising and Volunteer Management from Humber College.
