Joel Gilchrist

Joel Gilchrist has over 25 years of experience in the information technology sector, specializing in software design and architecture. Currently serving as an Architect and Senior Designer at Canadian Blood Services since September 2009, Joel focuses on IT solutions to support the Canadian blood supply. Previous roles include Software Designer at SOMA Networks and Software Architect for CDMA/LTE at Nortel, where responsibilities included MAC Layer software architecture. Earlier in the career, Joel worked as a Software Design Manager at Nortel, focusing on custom tool design for optical customers. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, obtained from 1988 to 1992.
