Nancy Wirtz, PMP, is an accomplished project manager with extensive experience in cancer prevention and community health initiatives. Currently serving as the Manager of Cancer Prevention Programs and Services at the Canadian Cancer Society since October 2013, Nancy leads multiple projects through the entire project management life cycle while engaging cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Previously, Nancy held various elected positions within the Municipality of Killarney from December 2014 to November 2022, focusing on community representation and promoting well-being through strategic initiatives. As the Health/Recreation Promoter at the Municipality of Killarney from July 2009 to October 2013, Nancy established programs aimed at enhancing community health and active living. Nancy holds a Project Management Professional Certification, a Certificate in Small Business Accounting from Fleming College, a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Health and Education, and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism/Geography from Lakehead University.
