Gaston Doucette

Gaston Doucette's work experience includes holding the role of National Director, Maritime Search and Rescue / Response Programs at the Canadian Coast Guard/Garde côtière canadienne since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Advisor to the Deputy Commissioner of Operations from January 2021 to July 2022.

Before joining the Canadian Coast Guard, Doucette served in various roles at different organizations. Gaston worked at Public Safety Canada | Sécurité publique Canada as a Human Resources Manager and a Human Resources Team Lead - Staffing Operations from 2019 to 2021. From 2017 to 2019, they held positions at Health Canada | Santé Canada, including Senior Human Resources Advisor - Staffing Operations and Manager, Administrative Services - Assistant Deputy Ministers Office.

Gaston'searlier experience includes working at Canada Border Services Agency | Agence des services frontaliers du Canada as a Senior Programs Officer, Commercial Programs, Junior Program Officer, Traveller Programs, and Executive Assistant to the Director General of Labour Relations and Compensation from 2013 to 2017.

Gaston Doucette holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, with a focus on Psychology and Criminology, from the University of Ottawa.
