Raj Malik

Raj Malik is Vice-President, Federal Affairs & Health Systems for MEDEC – the national association representing Canada's innovative medical technology industry. He is a senior executive with extensive experience in healthcare having worked previously for a handful of top-tier, blue chip multi-national MedTech and Pharma organizations including Pfizer, Baxter, Covidien and Medtronic. His roles have included leadership positions in Sales & Marketing, Health Systems, Government Relations and Senior Management.

Raj has utilized his strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to build a broad network of corporate, government and health system leaders across Canada including key stakeholders in the hospital C-Suite, regional & provincial health authorities, shared services & group purchasing organizations and clinicians.

While at Covidien/Medtronic, Raj served as the Chair of MEDEC's Ontario Committee and as the inaugural Chair of MEDEC's annual signature event, the MedTech Conference, in both 2015 & 2016, transforming it into the must-attend event for the Canadian medical technology industry.

He has been a member of CCHL for 14 years and earned his CHE in 2015. In addition to participating in local Chapter events, he is a regular attendee at the National Healthcare Leadership Conference. He also has experience developing and executing two CCHL HPRS events and has led the development of two articles published in the CCHL Healthcare Management Forum journal.
