David Villalta

David Villalta, CIM, DMS has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. David currently holds the position of Executive Director of Strategic Investments & Finance at Canadian Health Labs and Canadian Sustainability Labs. Prior to this, they were the Senior Director of Investment Strategy at Canadian Health Labs. David served as the Chief Investment Officer at a Single Family Office and as a Senior Wealth Associate at National Bank Financial. Before that, they worked as a Senior Associate at HSBC Securities and as an Investment Specialist at BMO Investment Inc. David also held the position of Director of Finance at Investment Club Western.

David Villalta, CIM, DMS completed their education at Western University from 2004 to 2008, earning a degree in Managerial and Organizational Studies with a focus on Business Management and Administration and Finance. David then pursued an Advanced Financial Analysis Certificate at the Smith School of Business at Queen's University from 2012 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained various certifications from the Canadian Securities Institute, including the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 2013 and the Derivative Market Specialist (DMS) designation in 2010. David has also obtained multiple certifications related to wealth management, retirement planning, estate planning, and high net worth client situations. David is currently a CFA Level 2 Candidate and is registered as a Representative with options licensing through the IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada).
