Hannah Yakobi's work experience includes holding the role of Vice-President of Communications at CIFAR, a global research organization. Hannah has also worked as the Editor-in-chief and Principal Consultant at FAJO Magazine, Canada's leading digital fashion magazine and consulting agency. Hannah has experience as the Vice-President of Marketing, Communications, and Events at the Public Policy Forum, an independent think tank, and as the Head of Marketing & Communications/Marketing & Communications Manager at the Catholic Principals Council Ontario. Hannah has also worked as a Senior Manager of Corporate & Brand Communications at Plan Canada, a communications manager at Earth Day Canada, a Communications and Public Affairs Advisor at the Council of Ontario Universities, a Communications and Public Issues Specialist at the Canadian Cancer Society, a feature writer at Canwest, and a photo director at OK! Magazine.

Hannah Yakobi has a diverse education history. In 1997 to 1999, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they studied Information Technology and Computer Literacy. Hannah then pursued an International Baccalaureate from 1999 to 2001, concentrating in Psychology, Chemistry, and Biology, with a focus on French.

In 2005 to 2009, Hannah Yakobi attended Carleton University, earning a Bachelor's honours degree. Their major was Journalism, specializing in print and digital media and public relations. Hannah also pursued minors in Psychology and Film.

Building on their education, Hannah Yakobi participated in several executive education programs. In 2020, they completed a program entitled "Disruptive Strategy" at Harvard Business School. Hannah also attended the Smith School of Business at Queen's University in the same year, where they obtained executive education in "Leading Virtual Teams."

In 2021, Hannah Yakobi furthered their education at the University of Oxford, undertaking the program "Business Negotiations: Strategic Skills for Deal Making."

In addition to their educational pursuits, Hannah Yakobi has obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. In October 2020, they received certifications in "Developing Executive Presence" and "Strategic Agility" from LinkedIn. Hannah Yakobi is also a Professional Member of the Canadian Society of Association Executives, a designation they obtained in October 2015.
