Marc-Nicolas Kobrynsky

Marc-Nicolas Kobrynsky is 1 of 2 members representing Quebec (Region 4) on CIHI’s Board of Directors. He is currently the assistant deputy minister of the Strategic Planning and Performance Measurement branch at the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux.

This new directorate was created with the mission to respond to a paradigm shift in government that translates into a high degree of accountability for all governmental actors. It must also develop, update and disseminate tools and periodic progress reports, and produce strategic analyses, to facilitate the effectiveness of governmental decision-making processes. It is responsible for coordinating with the partners of the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux in this area.

Mr. Kobrynsky holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HEC Montréal with a specialization in operations management, and a master’s in management sciences from the London School of Economics with a specialization in management. A manager for 18 years, he worked from 2004 to 2018 at Bell Canada’s Createch Group, then at Sun Life Canada as a project manager and senior consultant. Since 2018, he has served as the senior director of consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Since 2016, he has also been a senior researcher for the Bulletin des ministères (a “report card” for Quebec ministries) at L’actualité.
