Angela Hamlyn

Angela Hamlyn has extensive work experience primarily at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. Angela started their career with the organization in 2007 as the Director of Communications, Publications, and Media. In that role, they were responsible for overseeing communication strategies and managing media relations. Angela also served as the Editor-in-Chief during the same time period. Angela'scontributions to the organization led to their appointment as the Chief Executive Officer in January 2018. Angela's leadership and expertise in the industry have been recognized, and they currently hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. Additionally, they took on the role of Interim Executive Director at the same organization in June 2017.

Angela Hamlyn pursued their education with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science and English Literature from Memorial University of Newfoundland, from 1979 to 1983. Following this, they went on to complete their Masters in Public Administration from Carleton University between 1983 and 1985.
