Bahar Kasaai

Bahar Kasaai is an accomplished professional in the fields of health services, public health, and clinical research. Currently serving as Assistant Director at CIHR - Institute of Population and Public Health since December 2023, Kasaai previously held the position of Lead, Research Impact & Strategic Initiatives at the Institute of Health Services and Policy Research from March 2018 to December 2023, where responsibilities included designing funding opportunities and assessing research impacts. Experience includes clinical research management as a Consultant at McGill University Health Centre and RI-MUHC, where Kasaai coordinated a national clinical trial, and postdoctoral research at the Institute of Human Genetics, achieving significant publications and awards. Academic credentials comprise a PhD in Experimental Medicine and an MSc in Human Genetics from McGill University, along with a BSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Concordia University.
