Dwayne Martins

Dwayne Martins has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. From 2002 to 2010, they served as the Director of Administration at McMaster University's Department of Medicine. Following this, from 2010 to 2019, they held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. In this role, they were responsible for managing operations and administration, overseeing a large team, and coordinating various portfolios. Currently, they are associated with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research as the Associate Vice President, Corporate Services, and will soon transition to the role of Chief, Enterprise Corporate Priorities.

Dwayne Martins has a Masters in Health Sciences (Health Administration, MHA) from the University of Toronto, which they completed from 1998 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained a Masters in Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University during the same period. Their field of study for the former degree was Health and Hospital Administration, while the latter degree focused on Social Work.
