Jill Kowalchuk

Jill Kowalchuk, ICD.D is an experienced leader in the field of information technology and strategic consulting. Currently serving as the Director and Interim Director of Research Computing Services at the University of Calgary since March 2024, Jill has held various significant roles including Director at CIRA since October 2017 and Strategic Consultant for multiple clients since April 2014. Previous positions include Senior Director at CANARIE, Director of CanSSOC, and NREN Coordination Manager at CANARIE Inc. Jill also served as General Manager at Paradocs Mountain Software, where responsibilities included driving sales and strategic direction. Additional experience includes serving as President and Interim Executive Director at Compute Canada, where oversight of strategic planning and governance structure was critical. Educational qualifications encompass a BSc in Computer Science and Management from the University of Calgary and completion of the Institute of Corporate Directors Director Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
