Omar Piminchumo Marinos

Omar Piminchumo Marinos, PEng, is an experienced professional currently serving as an Associate Scientist at Canadian Light Source Inc. since October 2018, specializing in biomedical imaging and therapy with a focus on Computed Tomography scans utilizing synchrotron radiation. Previously, Omar held various positions including Head of Project Department at Codrise, where engineering design for mining equipment was performed, and General Maintenance Engineer at Schlumberger, managing the assembly, repair, and testing of electric submersible pumps. Omar also led a production sector at Softys, overseeing two production lines for personal care products. In terms of education, Omar is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Finance, a diploma in Project Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
