Alan Arcand is the Chief Economist at Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters since November 2019. Prior to this, Alan held various positions at The Conference Board of Canada for almost two decades, with the latest being Associate Director. Alan holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Windsor.

CME’s membership network accounts for an estimated 82 per cent of Canadian manufacturing production and 90 per cent of all goods and services exports.
