Raila Gutman

Director, Member Development, BC Producers Branch at Canadian Media Producers Association

Raila Gutman is the current Director of Member Development for the BC Producers Branch at the Canadian Media Producers Association. Raila has over 15 years of experience in the marketing and events industry, working with both small and large companies.

Raila started their career in 2006 as an Account Director at ITCH Ltd, where they ran the Virgin Media Sponsorship team. During their time there, they developed and produced fully integrated campaigns and worked with all facets of the Virgin business, including sponsorship, online, PR, advertising, mobile, broadband, and TV. In 2009, they left ITCH Ltd to pursue freelance work, during which time they developed and ran the sponsorship activities and production of V Festival - one of the UK's largest music festivals - including online, experiential, PR, and branding.

In 2010, Raila moved to Canada and began working as a Marketing Manager for the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC). In this role, they were responsible for developing and managing marketing and event projects for a variety of clients. After two years at BCLC, Raila joined Corus Entertainment as their Marketing Director, where they worked for six years before joining the Canadian Media Producers Association in 2018.

Raila Gutman has a diploma in marketing communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
