Joseph K. Mayer is an accomplished leader in healthcare advocacy and governance, currently serving as the Executive Vice-President for Advocacy, Engagement & Governance at the Canadian Medical Association since March 2015. Mayer has held various key roles within the organization, including Executive Vice-President of Access to Care and Vice-President of Patient & Public Advocacy. In addition to current responsibilities, Mayer plays a significant role as Co-Chair of the Canadian Medical Forum Working Group on EDII. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the CEO at the Canadian Medical Association and various positions in communications and public relations. Mayer's diverse background also includes involvement with organizations such as the Sierra Club Canada and the Equal Voice national steering committee.
