Marni Kagan

Marni Kagan is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media and content strategy. Currently serving as the Senior Advisor of Content Strategy at the Canadian Medical Association since July 2018, Marni has established video as a pivotal element in the organization's storytelling approach, acting as an internal expert in video production and strategic project advice. Previous roles include working as an Assignment Producer and Senior Producer at CBC Ottawa, where Marni led teams to create diverse and engaging news content across various platforms. Marni has also taught video journalism at Carleton University and held earlier reporting and producing positions at CTV News Winnipeg and CBC Television in both Ottawa and Calgary. Marni holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from Western University, a Diploma in Communication Studies from Concordia University, and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Architecture from the University of Manitoba.
