Sarah Allison Kennell

Sarah Kennell currently serves as the National Director of Public Policy and Interim Director of Fund Development at the Canadian Mental Health Association, a position held since June 2021. Previously, Sarah was the Director of Government Relations at Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights from November 2014 to June 2021, where responsibilities included leading advocacy strategies and managing relationships with government bodies to advance sexual and reproductive rights. Earlier roles included Public Affairs Officer at Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, Policy & Communications Officer at Action Canada for Population and Development, Program Officer at the Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Rights, Jr. Gender Equality Specialist at Global Affairs Canada, and Jr. Analyst at Service Canada. Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Globalization and International Development from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Acadia University.
