Sébastien Tremblay has a wide range of work experience in various roles over the years. Sébastien most recently worked as the Director of Collections at the Canadian Museum of History starting in November 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Collection Development at the Library of Parliament from November 2015 to November 2020. Sébastien also held positions such as Manager of Preservation and Parliamentary Publications, Acting Advisor to the Director General of IDRS, Acting Manager of the Knowledge Organization and Discovery Division, and Acting Chief of the Cataloguing Section at the Library of Parliament between 2007 and 2015. Before that, Sébastien was a Senior Librarian in the Acquisitions and Serials Section at the Library of Parliament starting in November 2006. Sébastien was also the Acting Chief of the Cataloguing Section at the Université de Moncton from November 2004 to October 2006. Sébastien began their career as a Librarian and Project Co-Manager at the Fondation des parlementaires québécois in 2003.
Sébastien Tremblay pursued a Bachelor of Arts in French Literature at Université Laval from 1995 to 1998. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2001, they attended Université de Montréal to obtain a Masters degree in Library and Information Science.
