Sam Forgione was appointed Vice-President and Corporate Comptroller in July 2016. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice-President, Investor Relations since March 2016.
Mr. Forgione is responsible for CN’s financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll among other areas.
He has been a Chartered Accountant since 1990 and began his career at CN in 1994 in Corporate Accounting, where he held positions of increasing responsibility. In 2001, he became Director of Corporate Development, focusing mainly on mergers and acquisitions. In 2011, Sam rejoined the Accounting department as Assistant Comptroller, General Accounting, before being appointed Assistant Comptroller, Revenue Management in 2012, and Assistant Comptroller, Financial Reporting in 2013.
Mr. Forgione is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a graduate degree in Accountancy from Concordia University in Montreal.
