Susan C. Jones

Susan C. Jones is the current Director at CN. Susan has also held positions at Piedmont Lithium Inc., ARC Resources Ltd., TC Energy, Seven Generations Energy Ltd., Gibson Energy, and Nutrien.

Susan has a long history of working in the energy and mining industry. Susan started their career as a lawyer, working their way up to Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Agrium. In this role, they were responsible for the legal department and all legal matters for the company.

In 2018, Susan became an Executive Advisor to the CEO of Nutrien. In this role, they provided advice and guidance on strategic initiatives and projects. Susan also served on the board of Gibson Energy as an independent member, and was a member of the audit and environmental, social, governance, health & safety committees.

Most recently, Susan was the Corporate Director at Seven Generations Energy Ltd. In this role, they were responsible for the sales, marketing & distribution of 11 million tonnes of fertilizer products in North America, Europe and Africa. Susan also led a team of 600 employees in Canada, United States and Europe.

Susan C. Jones has a Finance for Executives Certificate from Harvard Business School Executive Education, a Director Training Certificate from Harvard Business School Executive Education, a Diploma in Organizational Leadership from the University of Oxford, a Bachelor of Laws - LLB from the University of Ottawa - Faculty of Law | Common Law, and a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Political Science and Languages including Spanish, Italian and French from the University of Victoria. Susan is also certified by the Law Society of Alberta as a Member.
