Derek Adams

Derek Adams has over two decades of experience in business improvement and planning, currently serving as a Maximo Business Support Analyst for Corporate Continuous Improvement at Canadian Natural Resources Limited since June 2017. Previously, Derek held positions at Shell as a Business Improvement Focal and Planning and Support Services Team Lead, and served as Planning Team Lead at Teck Resources Limited. Early career experience includes being a Senior Planner and Team Leader at Finning (Canada). Derek holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Management with distinction from Athabasca University, and has completed specialized training in value investing from Columbia Business School and Ivey Business School at Western University.
