Kara Slemko has extensive work experience in various industries and roles. Kara is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at Skate Canada Alberta NWT/Nunavut. Previously, they held several positions at Canadian Natural Resources Limited (CNRL) including Vice President of Commercial Operations and Vice President of Supply Management. Kara also has experience at Ernst & Young LLP in supply chain and operations advisory services. Before that, they worked at CN Rail in various director roles in network operations, warehouse, distribution, and logistics services. Additionally, they have served on advisory committees at the Van Horne Institute and Mount Royal University. Early in their career, they worked as an Associate at Booz & Company, where they engaged in multiple client assignments including strategic development of railway services and asset information strategy and change management programs.
Kara Slemko completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics (with a minor in Management) from the University of Calgary from 1990 to 1993. Kara then pursued an MBA in International Business at Aberystwyth University from 1994 to 1995.
