Matthew Yaychuk

Exploitation Engineer, BC South at Canadian Natural

Matthew Yaychuk, P.Eng., is an experienced exploitation engineer with a robust background in petrophysics and formation evaluation. Currently serving as an Exploitation Engineer at Canadian Natural Resources Limited since June 2017, Matthew is actively involved in basin-wide exploration initiatives and supports regional teams by providing detailed formation evaluation. Prior to this, Matthew worked at Shell from July 2013 to May 2017, holding various roles including Asset Petrophysicist for In Situ Surveillance/Development, where responsibilities included well and reservoir management, and mentoring junior staff. Earlier experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Alberta from May 2010 to April 2013, focusing on the design and development of sensors for oilfield production logging tools. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics with a Nanoengineering option from the University of Alberta, completed in 2013.
