Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on rotating equipment. Currently serving as the Rotating Equipment Principal Engineer and Team Leader at Canadian Natural Resources Limited since August 2007, Michael has extensive expertise in the field. Prior to CNRL, Michael worked as a Contract Manager at Siemens Power from 1997 to 2007, managing projects related to Rolls Royce and GEC Gas Turbines, as well as Ruston Turbines. Michael began the career as a Turbine Commissioning Engineer at John Brown Engineering from 1990 to 1996, specializing in GE turbine models. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Engineering in Power Engineering from Loughborough University and a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Robert Gordon's College. Michael is also a Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
