Barbara Sutherland

Barbara Sutherland is an experienced professional with a diverse background in customer service, management, and travel. Currently serving as a Customer Service Representative at Canadian North since July 2017, Barbara also operates Barbara Sutherland Management Services Inc., providing contract management services for the travel industry and exporting used commodities globally. As President of Harbor4Life Youth Society since 2008, Barbara supports an orphanage in Burundi, addressing the challenges from ongoing tribal conflicts. Barbara founded Adventures Abound in 1988, following extensive travel and experience in the tourism sector, including a role as Tours and Marketing Manager in Kenya. Previous experience includes serving as Regional Manager for the ACTA Association of Canadian Travel Agents, Special Projects Manager at Goodwill Industries of Alberta, and Senior Consultant at Westcan Treks. Barbara holds a B.Com in Business Administration from the University of Alberta and completed Senior Matriculation at Brentwood College.
