Rachael Kerr is a highly accomplished musician with extensive experience in collaborative piano and vocal coaching. Currently serving as a Music Staff member and Ensemble Studio Pianist at the Canadian Opera Company since August 2017, Rachael also holds positions as Faculty Vocal Coach and Accompanist at The Royal Conservatory of Music since October 2015. Rachael performs regularly, specializing in opera, winds, and brass, and has collaborated with prestigious institutions such as Orford Musique, the University of Toronto, and the Banff Centre. Rachael's notable previous roles include Opera Coach at Northwestern University, where repertoire included works like "Die Fledermaus" and "Cosi fan tutte," and a Vocal Piano Fellow at Tanglewood Music Center. Rachael's educational background encompasses a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Northwestern University, alongside dual bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Piano Performance from The Johns Hopkins University, showcasing a diverse and rich academic foundation.
