Stephen Gilles has extensive experience in development and fundraising within the arts sector, currently serving as the Director of Development at the Canadian Opera Company since August 2013. Prior to this role, Stephen Gilles held multiple positions at The Royal Conservatory of Music from January 2003 to July 2013, including Senior Director, Development and Director, Development. Earlier in the career, Stephen Gilles worked as the National Manager of Special Events at Holt Renfrew and as an Invitations & Correspondence Coordinator for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, Ontario. Stephen Gilles holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Combined Honours in English and History from Western University, earned between 1989 and 1993.
