Andrea Peters

Andrea Peters is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in disaster response and international cooperation, currently serving as the Regional Senior Manager for the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) at the Canadian Red Cross since September 2013. In this role, Andrea provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of CRC's initiatives in the MENA region, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision for localization and quality programming. Previous roles at the Canadian Red Cross include Program Coordinator for international humanitarian projects, focusing on regions such as Bangladesh, Syria, and Yemen, as well as positions related to emergency programming and development in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Andrea has also contributed to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in various capacities, including as a Team Lead for health emergency response efforts following natural disasters. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor of Applied Nonprofit Studies, both from Mount Royal University.
