Andrea Wishart has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Andrea has worked as a Journal Development Specialist at Canadian Science Publishing since 2023. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Directors and Co-Founder/Student Organizer at Support Our Science from 2022 to 2023. Andrea also worked as a Graduate Student Assistant at the University of Saskatchewan from 2022 to 2022. Additionally, they worked as a Personal Assistant for a Tropical Biodiversity Field Course in 2015.

Andrea Wishart has an extensive education history in the field of biology and zoology. They started their education at Western University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with an Honors Specialization in Biology and a Minor in Art History and Criticism. During their undergraduate studies, Andrea also participated in a Study Abroad Program through the University of Western Ontario at the University of Leeds.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Andrea went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree at Western University. Their field of study for their master's degree was Biology.

Continuing their academic journey, Andrea enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Zoology/Animal Biology. This program spanned from 2016 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Andrea has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skill set. They have certifications in Standard First Aid, CPR and AED from the Canadian Red Cross, Introduction to Wildlife Rehabilitation from the Wildlife Center of Virginia, Below Zero from the Canadian Wildlife Federation, From GPS and Google Maps to Spatial Computing from Coursera Verified Certificates, Project WILD from the Canadian Wildlife Federation, and Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Coursera Verified Certificates.
