Brandi M. Shabaga

Brandi M. Shabaga has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Brandi M. started their career as an Instructor at Sylvan Learning in November 2007 and continued in this role until September 2010. Afterwards, they joined the University of Manitoba as a Wet Chemistry Technician in March 2009. Brandi M. then transitioned to the role of Stable Isotope Geochemistry Lab Technician and Laboratory Radiation Supervisor in June 2015, where they worked until October 2020. During their time at the university, they also served as an Independent Contractor for the Independent Advisory Group (IAG) at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) from May 2017 to July 2022. In December 2015, they became the Owner and Consultant at Petros Analytical Consultants, where they currently hold this position. Most recently, they joined Canadian Science Publishing in October 2020 as a Production Editor, then progressed to the role of Scientific Publishing Editor (Acting) in September 2021. Following this, they held the position of Strategic Marketing Lead from March 2022 to November 2022. Currently, they are working as a Journal Development Specialist at Canadian Science Publishing since November 2022.

Brandi M. Shabaga pursued their education in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. Brandi M. earned their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in this field from the University of Manitoba. Additionally, they completed the Fundamentals of Leadership Program at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology. Furthermore, they are currently enrolled at Queen's University, where they are working towards a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. Their expected graduation from Queen's University is in 2024.
