Dominique Chabot has a diverse work experience spanning multiple fields. In 2014, Chabot worked as a Solutions Architect at ING Robotic Aviation, where they led data collection, processing, and analysis solutions. They also served as an NSERC Industrial R&D Fellow and operated and trained UAS/drones. Prior to this, Chabot worked as an Independent Consultant at Environment Canada from 2012 to 2014. At McGill University, from 2006 to 2013, Chabot worked as a Teaching Assistant. They also worked at Université Sainte-Anne as an Animateur d'immersion française from 2002 to 2005. In addition, Chabot held a leadership position as Vice-président des services étudiants at the Association Générale des Étudiants de l'Université Sainte-Anne in 2003-2004. Moving forward, Chabot became Co-Founder/Lead Scientist at droneMetrics in 2016. At Trent University, Chabot took on various roles starting from 2017, including Postdoctoral Fellow, Course Instructor, and Adjunct Professor. Lastly, Chabot holds the position of Editor-in-Chief at Canadian Science Publishing since 2020, and previously as an Associate Editor from 2015 to 2019.
Dominique Chabot has a strong education background in the field of renewable resources and wildlife biology. They completed their Bachelor's Degree in Sciences at Université Sainte-Anne from 2001 to 2004. Following this, they pursued their Master's degree in the same field at McGill University, completing it from 2006 to 2009. They then continued their academic journey by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from McGill University, specializing in Renewable Resources / Wildlife Biology, from 2010 to 2014.

Canadian Science Publishing (CSP), head-quartered in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) is an independent, not-for-profit scholarly publisher dedicated to serving the needs of researchers and their communities, not only by publishing quality peer-reviewed journals but also by supporting the knowledge-sharing activities of scholarly societies and other keypartners through events, awards, and other exchanges.They are a not‐for‐profit company – CSP's Board is drawn from the research and publishing communities and represents all interests of the scholarly publishing community in Canada and beyond, including researchers, scientific societies, libraries, and business. The CSP membership base includes a wide range of institutions and organizations that have a stake in developing a healthy scholarly scientific publishing industry. The NRC Research Press journals (16 titles) cover a broad range of scientific disciplines, with more than 2000 manuscripts each year. All journals are available online and are accessible before print publication at www.nrcresearchpress.com. We proudly participate in international programs such as Research4Life, PERii, and TEEAL, which provide developing countries access to their material at little or no cost.
