Elaine Stott

Elaine Stott has extensive experience in the field of scientific publishing. Elaine currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Science Publishing, where they oversee the publishing of 24 peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prior to this, Elaine held the position of Director of Publishing, Science and Technology at Taylor & Francis Group from November 2017 to June 2021. Elaine also served as the Editorial Director for Behavioral Sciences and Allied and Public Health at Taylor & Francis Group from September 2016 to November 2017.

Before joining Taylor & Francis Group, Elaine worked as the Director of STM Publishing at Cambridge University Press from July 2013 to June 2015. Elaine also held the role of VP and Journal Publishing Director for Health Sciences at John Wiley and Sons, where they worked from July 1999 to June 2013.

Elaine's earlier work experience includes positions such as Commissioning Editor at Thomas Telford from 1998 to 1999, Commissioning Editor at Taylor & Francis Group from 1994 to 1998, Production Editor at Chapman and Hall from 1990 to 1994, and Scientific Information Officer at CABI from 1989 to 1990. Throughout their career, Elaine has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in scientific publishing, making their a valuable asset in their current role as CEO of Canadian Science Publishing.

Elaine Stott commenced their education journey in 1984 and successfully completed it in 1987 at the University of Leeds. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Plant Biology.
