Stephen McDonnell

Stephen McDonnell is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in architecture and governance within leading Canadian corporations. Currently, as VP of Technology Governance & Chief Architect at Canadian Tire Corporation since January 2021, McDonnell oversees technology strategy and architecture. Previously, McDonnell held various senior positions at Rogers Communications from May 2007 to January 2021, including Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture and Director of Device Applications & Technology, where responsibilities included developing architecture patterns and leading the design of video-based services. Earlier, McDonnell served as Director of Digital Technology at Bell ExpressVu LP, managing teams focused on digital technology and quality assurance, and as Director of IT, HR, and Finance Systems, leading significant projects in financial system modernization.
