Senior Human Rights Officer at Canadian Union of Public Employees

Emma Lui is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research, health care, and social advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Research Officer for the Canadian Union of Public Employees since January 2023, Emma also holds the position of Holistic Health Director at the Canadian Women of Colour Leadership Network. As a Holistic Health Practitioner since June 2019, Emma integrates deep knowledge of health with a background in research, previously contributing as an editor for rabble.ca and a Senior Research Officer for the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Previous roles include Social Media Coordinator for the Ottawa Water/Study Action Group and National Water Campaigner and Researcher for The Council of Canadians. Emma's educational credentials encompass a Master's Degree in Political Economy and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Rights and Law, accompanied by specialized training in biodynamic craniosacral therapy. Emma's global perspective is further enriched by experience as an Assistant Language Teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program.
