Aseel Takshe

Aseel Takshe is currently the Head of Department for Environmental & Health Sciences at the Canadian University Dubai. Prior to this, they worked as an Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant for the RSK Group from April 2011 to November 2012. In this role, Aseel was responsible for conducting detailed audits to assess their client's health, safety, and environmental liabilities. Aseel also provided expert level stakeholder engagement and project management services, along with crafting and submitting detailed reports to local agencies and regulatory authorities.

Some of Aseel's key achievements during their time at the RSK Group include organizing environmental impact assessments, including construction environmental management plans to minimise the impact of risks regarding health issues and safety concerns. Aseel also built strong corporate relations by delivering environmental support services to clients in the construction, energy, airport, and other transportation projects. Additionally, Aseel planned and presented training programmes to improve their client's knowledge regarding environmental protection, health, and safety matters.

Before their time at the RSK Group, Aseel worked as a Post Doctorate Research Fellow at the University of Twente from October 2009 to September 2011.

Aseel Takshe has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. Aseel also has a Ph.D in Environmental Economics & Management from University of York-England in the United Kingdom. Lastly, Aseel has a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences from American University of Beirut (AUB) in Beirut, Lebanon. Aseel also has a certification from the Sustainable Development Research and Training Institute in Sustainable Development Leadership Program. Aseel is also certified from The International Institute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM) as an IIRSM Full Member. Aseel is also certified from IRCA as an IRCA Approved OHS Auditor. Aseel is also certified from NEBOSH as a NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) holder. Lastly, Aseel is certified from Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center - OSHAD as an Abu Dhabi General Occupational, Health & Safety Practitioner.
