Mike Hughes

Mike Hughes has over 15 years of experience in commercial banking and real estate lending. Currently, Mike serves as the Assistant Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending at Canadian Western Bank, a position held since October 2015, after previously working as Sr. Manager of Commercial Banking. Prior to Canadian Western Bank, Mike was employed at BMO Financial Group from November 2012 to October 2015 as a Commercial Account Manager, where responsibilities included structuring and monitoring loans for a diverse client base. Mike's career began at RBC, where from December 2008 to November 2012, Mike managed a portfolio of over 60 clients across various industries, successfully negotiating complex credit resolutions. Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Commercial Real Estate from UBC Sauder School of Business.
