Floyd Jaén has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Floyd started their career in 1999 as a Second Engineer at EVERGREEN LINE and worked there until 2002. Floyd then joined Panam Thermal Generating as a Maintenance Mechanic from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they became the Chief Engineer at Dawn Arising ltd. and held the position until 2007. Following that, they worked as a Senior Service Coordinator at Marine Repairs Contractors, S.A. (MRC, S.A) from 2006 to 2007. Floyd then joined ABB as a Sales and Technical Manager from 2007 to 2009. Floyd Jaén's next venture was with Royal Caribbean Intl Cruise where they served as a First Engineer / Second Engineer from 2008 to 2012. Currently, they are the Chief Engineer in charge at Canal de Panamá, a position they have held since 2019.
Floyd Jaén earned a bachelor's degree in Maritime Engineering with a specialization in Naval Machinery from the Universidad Marítima de Panamá, which they completed from 1995 to 1999. Later, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master's degree in Logistics and International Trade at the Universidad Latina de Panamá, where they also completed a Postgraduate degree in High Management.
