Jason Leach

Jason Leach has a diverse work experience in the waterways and environmental sectors. Jason started their career at the Environment Agency, where they held various positions from 1995 to 2005. Jason then joined British Waterways as a Project Manager, overseeing the restoration of canals and securing funding for various projects. In 2011, they became the Midlands Enterprise Team Manager at the Canal & River Trust, responsible for generating third-party support and leading development work. Jason also served as the Head of Olympic Programmes and Strategic Enterprise Manager during their time at the Trust. In 2017, they took on the role of Enterprise Team Manager - Midlands & South before becoming the Programme Director for the Unlocking the River Severn for People and Wildlife project. Since 2022, they have held the position of Head of External Programme Delivery at Canal & River Trust. Additionally, they served as a Volunteer Trustee at House Mill Trust in 2012.

Jason Leach attended Bangor University from 1994 to 1995, where they pursued a degree in MSc Ecology. Jason'sfield of study during this period was Ecology.
